Mei Liu

Visiting Scholar 2014-15

Mei Liu was born and raised in Laiwu which has a promising prospect, China. Mei has been a visiting scholar in the Department of Consumer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since August, 2014. Her supervisor is Professor Lydia Zepeda. Her research focuses on risk perception and communication of food safety. Aside from food consumer behavior, she is also interested in ecological economy and small and medium enterprises management. After earning her PhD in Agricultural Economics at Huazhong Agricultural University in China, she has become a teacher in the College of Economics and Management in the university. Now she is an associate professor. She mainly teaches two courses. One is Logistics and Supply Chain Management, the other is Management Principle. In her free time, she likes dancing, listening to music, reading and traveling.
